Kate Palmer

Kate joined the team at DA Family Lawyers in May 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the Queensland University of Technology. Following the completion of her studies, Kate worked as Legal Associate to the then Trial Management Judge of the Family Court of Australia, which gave her invaluable exposure to matters heard in the Court’s trial and appellate divisions. Following the completion of her associateship, Kate returned to her home town of Toowoomba to commence her career as a family law solicitor in a local firm, where she practiced for 2½ years before making the move back to Brisbane to join DA Family Lawyers.

Kate prides herself on adopting an empathetic and interest-based approach to all matters that she works on, while simultaneously ensuring that her clients have the benefit of robust legal advice and a clear understanding of the options available to them in the progression of their family law matter.

Kate works in all areas of family law, including parenting matters, property settlement, divorce, de facto relationships and child support, as well as applications made under the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act.
